Skateboarding For Hope Supported By DC Shoes returned to Menlyn Skatepark in Pretoria for the 2016 season on Saturday, 6 August at to host the area’s top skaters to compete for cash prizes and slots in the Rider Cup and TopGrom Championships at Kimberley Diamond Cup this October.
Ashton Banwell ended up taking his first TopGrom win and Sipo Shaka wound up with a wildcard entry into the TopGrom Championships at Kimberley Diamond Cup. In the tricks for cash session, Theo Setsetse, Adam Woolf, Antohny De Mendonca, Lloyd Thangwane, and David Woolf are a few of the big guns that wound up with some big cash. Theo’s hardlip was just too bangin’; check the photo and video below for the proof.
Big shout out to our sponsors and partners who helped make the event a success and for their support: DC Shoes, Northern Cape Tourism, Red Bull, World Skateboarding Federation, Kumba Iron Ore, Menlyn Skatepark, and Pragmatics & Old School Productions behind the scenes.
