This weekend the Kumba Skate Plaza was jam packed with lots of activities as usual for the local youth. We started off with a battle against the rain to host the ‘Bust Yo’Self Down The Big 4’ contest where the locals threw down some of their best stunts down the notorious “Big 4” stair set for prizes. Despite taking 5 minute breaks to watch the rain pour down, sweeping off the run up, landing and some obstacles and of course motivating the skaters from scratch after every break, the contest went down pretty well and the kids put down some heavy tricks.
Following a heavy Saturday Night Session, we welcomed several novice skaters for our weekly free Skate Lesson Sundays clinic the following day. Rest assured, skateboarding basics were learned and good times were had!
