The Midway Mayhem Kimberley Qualifiers went down at the Kumba Skate Plaza on 11 April, 2015. The goal of the competition was to seek out Kimberley’s top skaters worthy of competing with SA’s best the following weekend at the Midway Mayhem KDC Grand Slam Regional Qualifier.
We hosted 3 categories: TopGrom (13-) Open (14+) and Rider Cup. The top 10 skaters in each 13- & 14+ would be permitted to compete at Midway Mayhem along with the top 2 Rider cup teams. We also made sure that the top 3 skaters in each bracket left with some decent prizes.
Check the results and photos below for a good idea of what to expect from the Kimberley locals at Midway this Saturday, 18 April!

Tshepiso ollies to flat and into the top spot in the 13- division.
Always smiling, Mvelo has progressed quite a bit in the past few months. He placed for the first time in a contest at the Midway qualifiers and landed 3rd in the 13- division. Expect more from young Mvelo in the future.
Siphiwe has been on a rampage lately. Hurricane.
Alec was on fire. Kickflip the 3.
Will Jenkins from Homevale with a crooked grind on the 3 stair hubba.
Kagisho with a back T down the 3.
Props from the homies for Alec.
Brad Balie with a frontside board.
MJ, ollie.
Shandene with a nosestall.
Dead silence before the prizegiving ceremony.
