Skateboarding For Hope Presented By Vans Langebaan Recap: Results, Photos, & Video
Skateboarding For Hope Presented By Vans hit Western Cape’s Langebaan Skatepark on 25 July, 2015 hosting a skate clinic for underprivileged children of the area and a skate contest for top local skaters. There was a heavy presence from the Cape Town rippers, and all the heads came out for a shot at some cash. In the end, it was Tyler Kammies taking the TopGrom title and Alan Marola leaving with cash for a win in the Open Division.
Thanks to all of our sponsors and partners who made the event possible and contributed to another great SFH stop for the season: Langebaan Skatepark, Vans, Kumba Iron Ore, Northern Cape Tourism, Red Bull, Top Grom, World Skateboarding Grand Prix, Aquavita, Old School Productions, and Pragmatics.

Needy Langebaan local children rolled home on some Fresh KDC completes, equipped with some neat Vans stickers.
Back in the day, you would get beat up for skating in the flat bottom. Skateboarders have grown much nicer over the years. Markus, Patrick, and Marius assist with the Skateboarding for Hope coaching clinic.
Boardslide from Langebaan young gun known as “Chapie”.
If you look closely, the shadow makes it look like Jean Marc kneed himself in the face. Luckily for JM, this was not the case. Tuck knee.
Frontside feeble from Double A.
Alan Marola, feeble grind.
Congrats to the TopGrom finalists (from left to right) Ethan Cairns (2nd), Tyler Kammies (1st), and Cullen Green (3rd).
Stefan Jacobs taking home 3rd.
Allan Adams came in 2nd place and took home a wildcard entry to the KDC SA Champs. Not bad!
Alan Marola, 1st place.
Congrats to everyone who placed and thanks to everyone for coming out! It was a good’n.
