Skateboarding for Hope presented by Boogaloos in Port Elizabeth went down on 16 August, 2014, attracting several of the area’s best skaters and beach goers alike. We even had several skaters travel from Cape Town and surrounding areas in hopes of a shot at the wildcard, which upped the level of skating for the day. We had the pleasure of hosting a group of children from Fontein Primary in the Northern Areas of PE, giving them some lessons on skateboarding basics and uplifting their spirits through motivational speeches. Thanks to Boogaloos who hooked each of them up with fresh completes!
In the end, it was master blogger and Revolution flow guy Andrew Nero from Cape Town that won the wildcard, proving that he was the one worthy of skating in the KDC South African Championships this October 2-5. SFH George 16- winner Quentin Mooiman absolutely killed the park, sealing the deal in his division once again.
Thanks to everyone in PE that made it out to King’s Beach and helped to make SFH PE a success, you guys rule! Photos and results from the day can be found below. We’ll see you in Cape Town for the Grand Slam at Canal Walk on 30-31 August!
